Rooney got a ban driving for 2 years

Wayne Rooney got a ban driving for 2 years after he pleaded guilty to the charge that he had been driving after drinking.
The Everton striker will have to serve the community for 12 months and spend 100 hours of community service for that period.
`After today`s hearing in court, I would like to publicly apologize for my completely unacceptable action and the consequences of bad judgment. I am very sorry and I have already apologized to my family, the President, and the manager, everyone associated with Everton FC. I would like to apologize to the fans and everyone who supported me. Of course, I accept the verdict and I hope that I can make it up somewhat with my work for the society!`, said Rooney.
He arrived in the Court in Stockport and admitted his guilt after he was busted to drive drunk in the hours after midnight on 1 September. Yesterday, he was greeted with a standing ovation by the fans at Old Trafford on his return to Manchester for the first time since his transfer to Everton.
