Qatar overcame Russia in a control match with four penalty shootouts

Qatar overcame Russia with 2:1 in Doha in a friendly football match between the hosts of the next two World Cups.
The Romanian chief arbitrator Christian Balaj ruled four penalties in total in the match. The guests found the result via soccer tips sheet still in the fifth minute. Alexander Samedov scored from the 11-meter penalty kick, strike three called for a violation in the penalty area against Dmitri Kombarov. In the 29th minute and the hosts were awarded a penalty for a breach in the penalty box of Roman Zobnin but Ibrahim Majid did not manage to score a goal.
Six minutes later, the Qatari players received a second penalty kick for a foul of the goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev and this time Boualem Khoukhi equalized. It was the 71st hit against Akinfeev in the 93rd match with his national jersey, with which he made a record for missed goals in the history of Russia. So far, he shared the first place in the rankings with 70 hits along with the legend Lev Yashin (91 matches) and Rinat Dasayev (out of 73 meetings).
In the second part, the goalkeeper of the guests received a concussion and was replaced by enforcement in the 59th minute from Stanislav Kritsyuk. In the 72nd minute, the reserve Karim Boudiaf did 2:1 for Qatar after he jammed in the corner of the net from the nearby beam. Three minutes before the end Russia also received a second penalty for the foul of Alexander Kokorin in the penalty area, but could not achieve any success.
Russia organizes the World Cup 2018, Qatar hosts the 2022 World Cup.
