Story with a record of 10 home runners to win at the 89th Star of the Year

The American League won the 89th edition of the MLB Star Game, overtaking the National League with 8:6 for 10 innings in an unprecedented Battle Show at Nationals Park in Washington. The two superstar selections turned the fight for the Homerun derby from the previous night and set a new record for the most strikes over the fence in the Summer Classic. The two attacks produced a total of 10 home runs, with only one of the 14 points not entering a full lap. AL guests led a 2-0 lead after Aaron Judge (New York Yankees) and Mike Trout (Los Angeles Angels) in the 2nd and 3rd inning. In the closing of the 3rd Willson Contreras (Chicago Cubs) scored the hosts on the board, and in the 7th NF equalized by Trevor Story (Colorado Rockies).

In the 8th inning Jean Segura (Seattle Mariners) made the 5:2 difference for the American League in one go -triple home, and at the bottom the `old school` responded with a single to Christian Yelich (Milwaukee Brews). In the 9th, Scott Jennet (Cincinnati Reds) returned the National League to the double home game, sending the match to extra innings. The opening of the next 10 Houston Astros teammates Alex Bregman and George Springer hit consecutive home runs and Michael Brantley (Cleveland Indians) added a self-reported flop and AL again pulled three points - 8:5. Resistance forces of the NF this time came only for a final solo shot by Joey Votto (Cincinnati Reds), who formed the final result in the celebrated `All Star` performance. The most recent achievement in the 85-year history of the Star Game (from 1959 to 1962 is held two per season) was a total of 6 home runs for both teams. The record was set in 1951 and was repeated only twice;in 1954 and 1971. The last time this happened, the ball was struck by Reggie Jackson, Frank Robinson and Harmon Kiliber for the American League and Johnny Bench, Hank Aaron and Roberto Clemente for the National. Today, the six are members of the Hall of Fame.

A total of 18 pitchers twisted on the hill that night;nine for each team. Eight of them were beaten with homeowners, two served two: Charlie Morton (Houston Astros) (BS 1) in the 7th and 8th inning for AL and Ross Stripping (Los Angeles Dodgers) (L 0-1) for NL in the 10th. The winner was Edwin Diaz (Seattle Mariners) (W 1-0, BS 1) and Jay Hope (S 1) retained success, although both were shot once in the 9th and 10thinning. The MVP award in the Stars` Game was awarded to Alex Bregman. Together with the Ted Williams crystals club, the third astronaut`s basemans got a choice between two Chevrolet models;pickup `Colorado ZR2` and the sporty `Camaro SS`. 24-year-old Bregman stopped at the sports car and announced that he would give it to his mother. For the American League it was the sixth consecutive win in the Summer Classic, with which a slight dominance in eternal rivalry was taken. Interestingly, before this match, the two leagues adviced by links for baseball predictions were totally aligned in the Match of Stars - 43 wins, 2 draws and a 361:361 scoring.
