The 71st racket of the world, Jiri Lehechka, beat Felix Auger-Aliassime at the Australian Open (4:6, 6:3, 7:6(2), 7:6(3) and reached the quarterfinals.
Lehechka defeated a top-10 opponent for the first time, ending a four-game losing streak.
The 21-year-old Czech, who debuted in the top 100 last year, reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam for the first time. Moreover, before the Australian Open, he had never made it past the first round at a Slam.
Lehechka will compete with Jannik Sinner or Stefanos Tsitsipas for the semi-finals.
