Liverpool without Daniel Sturridge till the end of the season

The main striker in the selection of Liverpool Daniel Sturridge is unlikely to play with the team of the "reds" till the end of the season. Bad news said the club manager Brendan Rodgers. 25-year-old England international has spent much of the campaign sidelined, because of various injuries and played in only 18 matches for Liverpool in all competitions. But his problems continued and he almost certainly will not play more for his team in the remaining five matches until the end of the championship. Liverpool still has hopes to qualify in the `Champions League`, although their chances are minimal.

At the moment Sturridge has problems with hip that took him out of the last three games of Liverpool - against Newcastle (2:0) and West Brom (0:0) in the Premier League and the semi-final of the "FA Cup" with Aston Villa (1:2).

"The situation is very difficult. Daniel is a good boy that wants to play and help the team, but the season is bad for him in terms of his health. He had serious problems and we must daily check his situation. When he is healthy is always brilliant. The important thing for us is to restore him completely and this will continue for a long time. Would it be till the end of this season, or the preparation for the new is not yet clear, "said Rogers.
