The lieder in the scheme and champion of the tournament in Barcelona last year`s Kei Nishikori qualified ease for the quarterfinals of the competition on clay category "ATP 500".
In a repeat of the finals of the 2014 the Japanese deal again No15 Santiago Giraldo of Colombia, this time with 6:2, 6:1 for 83 minutes. Nishikori made the breakthrough five of nine opportunities and allow to the opponent to make only one break.
Last year, the Asian won the title after 6:2, 6:2 against Giraldo.
On Friday Kei Nishikori will play against the seventh placed Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut who has side the Argentinian with Uruguayan passport Pablo Cuevas with 7:6 (5), 6:2.
