Guardiola is not sure Mendi will be ready for the 2018 World Cup

Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola is happy that Benjamin Mendi has returned to the team but is not sure whether he will be ready for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Mendy returned to play as Sunday`s reserve in a 5-0 victory over Stoke City in the Premier League after missing seven months of the season because of knee injury. `I do not know whether Mandy will be ready for the World Cup. ` After six or seven months off the pitch, he needs a little time to regain his psyche, knee and football skills, `said the Spanish specialist at a press conference beforeWest Ham Sunday.

Meanwhile, the British media reported that former Arsenal footballer and assistant to Guardiola Michel Atreta is a candidate to replace Arsene Wenger at the head of the `balls`. `My opinion about Mikel is amazing, he deserves the best, we are doing great work with him, he`s part of our success this season, and I know he has a lot of names for the Arsenal managerial post, but Mikel deserves everything, what he wants, `said Pep.
