Heynckes: 'Today we showed what we missed against Real!'

The coach Jupp Heynckes regrets that against Real Madrid his Bayern Munich did not show the same success as he did against Eintracht Frankfurt earlier today. The Bundesliga champions won 4:1, although they came out with three debutants and a team with the lowest average age of 47 years. `Now we have shown the efficiency we missed on Wednesday!`, said the Bavarian coach. 'Special situations require special measures. Thinking mainly about the Madrid match, I bet on so many adolescents. The boys, however, did very well. At first they were a little nervous, but then we took the lead, and they showed up strong. I am very pleased.'

Heynckes did not miss out on another hard fight by Sandro Wagner, who again took the role of Robert Lewandowski as the pony rested. 'Sandro was extraordinary. He struggled all the time, and the distance he ran was impressive. He also scored a goal. Bravo and to Mats Hummels, who is now in a charge of being a captain!', commented the coach.
